What's next?-- a book based on Joan's Revolutionary ancestors. Ephraim and
William Wheeler (twins), were Patriots along with Captain Adam Wheeler.
(Their ancestors were Thomas Wheeler Sr. and George Wheeler of Concord,
MA, 1639 immigrants from an aristocrat family of Cranefield, Bedfordshire,
England). They were members of the Militia and the Continental Army. Several
fought in the first battle of Lexington/Concord, Bunker Hill and White Plains.
Josiah Wheeler took part in the original Tea Party in Boston. Ancestors of all
four of her paternal and maternal grandfathers (sons of Scottish Knights, Welsh
military officers and Huguenots of France), fought in the Revolution.
Now, according to the latest book by author Walter Semkiw," Return of the
Revolutionaries," our ancestors are back again to help with the changing times.
They first fought to give the world a place of freedom where the monarchies and
aristocracies no longer controlled a person's destiny. It seems now they want a
spiritual revolution, transferring spiritual power and responsibility from
institutions to individuals. Institutions will remain and be needed for people to
congregate, worship God and to share experiences, but spiritual growth will
depend on the individual. Religions would start working together for the
betterment of the individual soul. What a concept! Who are these people and
could it happen? Is reincarnation to be proven?
