co-author of books for state and local organizations. She is the author of several articles in national
publications and a founding member of the Rocky Mountain Writers Guild. She presently serves on
the Board of Directors of the Colorado Independent Publishers Association. La Grone is the past
Editorial Advisory Chairman of Connections (formerly Communique), the National Women's
Council of Realtors (WCR) magazine, National Vice President of Marketing and member of the
WCR Board of Directors. She was chosen Colorado Woman of the Year in 1988. She is President
of Win Publishers of Colorado and Broker of her own real estate company. She has been active in
politics (Who's Who in Politics 1972), listed in the 1999-2004 National Register of Who's Who in
Executives and Professionals and honored member of the International Executive Guild. She
received the Colorado State University apparel design award in 1992.
La Grone is the mother of six grown sons and grandmother of seven. She is married to Clyde, an
engineer, and lives near Fort Collins, Colorado.
